Why can't I import from Apple Music or Spotify?

Those downloads are DRM-protected: the files are encrypted and no app can read them, including this one. You can import anything unprotected — files in the Files app, voice memos, songs you bought as downloads, audio from a video, or a recording you make in the app.

A stem sounds empty, or another instrument bleeds into it

Separation quality depends on the recording. A well-recorded band with space between the parts pulls apart cleanly; a dense, heavily compressed master is much harder, and quiet instruments can leak into neighbouring stems. If a song has no piano, the piano stem will be silent — the app marks that as NONE FOUND rather than leaving you guessing.

The chords or tempo look wrong

Tempo detection sometimes locks onto half or double the real speed. Open Tempo and use ½× or 2× to correct it. If the beat is right but the bar lines fall in the wrong place, use Where is 1 to nudge the downbeat. Chords come from the separated audio, so a murky mix gives murkier chords.

Splitting is slow

Separation runs a neural network locally, and how long it takes depends on your chip and the length of the song. It is fastest on recent devices. Keep the app in the foreground while it works — the result is identical on every device, only the wait differs.

What do I get for free, and what does Pro add?

Free gives you three songs, a vocal and instrumental split, and the full chord, key and tempo analysis. Pro unlocks all six stems on your own songs, the effects on every channel, transpose and speed control, and export. The three demo songs show all six stems either way, so you can hear what the separation does before paying anything.

I paid but Pro isn't showing

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still doesn't appear, email us and we'll sort it out.

Where do exports go?

Exporting opens the iOS share sheet, so you choose: save to Files, drop into a DAW, send to someone, or put it in a video edit. Single stems export at full level with any pitch or speed change applied; "Current mix" exports exactly what you hear, effects included.

Does it work offline?

Completely. There is no server involved at any point. Aeroplane mode changes nothing.
